The Kin has a new home with Interscope

On November 15, 2011, in Uncategorized, by thekin

Dear friends and fans of The Kin,

We would like to bring you in close while we share with you a bit about what is up for us. We have been forming a powerful and positive relationship, since last May, with a new team of people and have forged a partnership with Interscope Records. We have signed a 6 album recording contract with Jimmy Iovine and James Mormile is our A&R. We feel incredibly lucky to have this opportunity and know that there are so many artists who deserve to have such support and we are incredibly grateful for the abundance around this music and for all the support you have given us.
So, Isaac, Thorald and Shakerleg have chosen I-scope to carry the flag and promote the band in this Universe for the next space and time and we feel that it will give us the wings to reach you more powerfully and more often.

Yours eternally,

Isaac, Thorald, Shakerleg

Our latest effort to avoid the perils of ‘dinner theater’ and serve up an alchemical mix of food, wine and performance, went off to a flying start. Thanks to EVERYONE who came and made it so enjoyable and thankyou to Kingswood for hosting the event!

America Video

On September 8, 2011, in Uncategorized, by thekin

When we recorded the live version of this song in Brooklyn at The End studios, the idea came to us to ask ALL of our friends and family to submit video and pictures that represent their ideas of America. There was such a variety of feelings captured and they somehow seem to strike a powerful balance. Thanks to Tara Autovino for editing this patchwork quilt of images so magically and THANKYOU to EVERYONE who sent in their images!

PLEASE MAKE YOUR OWN VIDEO and send it to us to share!

Thankyou,

Isaac, Thorald and Shakerleg
