We would like to bring you in close while we share with you a bit about what is up for us. We have been forming a powerful and positive relationship, since last May, with a new team of people and have forged a partnership with Interscope Records. We have signed a 6 album recording contract with Jimmy Iovine and James Mormile is our A&R. We feel incredibly lucky to have this opportunity and know that there are so many artists who deserve to have such support and we are incredibly grateful for the abundance around this music and for all the support you have given us.
So, Isaac, Thorald and Shakerleg have chosen I-scope to carry the flag and promote the band in this Universe for the next space and time and we feel that it will give us the wings to reach you more powerfully and more often.

We will be performing our main showcase at Rockwood Music Hall stage 2 on Saturday night at 8pm October 22nd. We are also proud to be part of the first AUSSIE BBQ at CMJ at the Delancey between 12pm and 6pm on the same day, October 22nd.

When we recorded the live version of this song in Brooklyn at The End studios, the idea came to us to ask ALL of our friends and family to submit video and pictures that represent their ideas of America. There was such a variety of feelings captured and they somehow seem to strike a powerful balance. Inspired by Italian Westerns of the 1960s, the film is a mash-up of “A Fistful Of Dollars” and “Mad Max” with a little “Escape From New York” to complete the highly stylized vision of this production. The film stars Carlos Gallardo (“el Mariachi”), Solomon Trimble (“Twilight”), Mali Elfman, Michael May & James St. Vincent.

Directed by long time friend and cohort, James St. Vincent, The Price is gaining some serious indie attention from Sundance to Comic Con. The Kin performed the original score and wrote the title track of the same name. The Kin also appeared in the movie as bounty hunters. Watch the trailer!

The Kin became aware of the hit documentary, ‘Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead’, in the middle of recording their album The UPside with Jack Douglas. Jack sent Joe Cross his original board mixes for the intrumental tracks used and The Kin wrote a song specifically for the movie called ‘Sunlight’. To celebrate the official release of the film, The Kin are set to release the Sunlight EP, which includes all the songs from the movie featuring The Kin, including the new song ‘Sunlight’.

The movie shows the benefits of eating and juicing veggies, so simple. People are watching the movie and changing their lives with how they eat. Check out their facebook page and join the movement they have started. We are glad to be a part of it!  I, T, S
